7 Lucky Charms for Travel Nurses

When we say Lucky Charms do you instantly think of that wonderful breakfast cereal with the marshmallow treats in it?

Well, obviously, we did.

But there are lots of things that are considered lucky charms – like a rabbit’s foot, four-leaf clover, the number seven, a rainbow and so many more.

But, did you know that being a travel nurse is just loaded with “lucky charms?”

Here are seven reasons why:

1) Travel nurses have freedom and flexibility

As a travel nurse you have a lot of freedom and flexibility. You have the freedom to choose the hospital you want to work at, how far you will go or drive, etc. You have the flexibility to pick your shift and to take time off between contracts if you want.

2) Travel nurses can choose to stay or move on

You have the ability to extend at a hospital (if they still need you) or choose to go to a new assignment.

3) Travel nurses are guaranteed hours

You are guaranteed hours – how great is that? No mandated hours of overtime (of course, if overtime is available and you would like to work, you are free to do so) or not working due to a low census.

4) Travel nurses avoid hospital politics

You never get involved in the politics of the hospital. How lucky is that?

You go to work and give the very best patient care – which is why you wanted to be a nurse in the first place. At the end of your shift, you can leave the facility’s problems behind.

5) Our travel nurses are never alone

When you work for Fidelity On Call, you are never alone on the job. You might not see us but we are there supporting you every step of the way. If you have a situation that requires our intervention, it is no problem. We take care of our team.

6) Travel nurses make new friends

You form friendships at every hospital to which you are assigned. It is wonderful to know good people and you will find them everywhere.

And, when you have been traveling a while and a facility requests you back, you get to see those great people again.

7) Travel nurses make more money

Travel nursing pays you more than when you work directly at a facility. Plus, you get tax-free allowances, bonuses and more.

So we are stopping only because we hit Lucky Number Seven! But, we are willing to bet that you can think of other travel nursing “lucky charms!”
