Fidelity On Call Receives 2020 Joint Commission Certification and Gold Seal

The Joint Commission 2020 certification and Gold Seal

Fidelity On Call is proud to announce that we have, once again, received our Joint Commission certification and Gold Seal. We first became accredited in 2008 when The Joint Commission opened up certification to staffing firms. When we started in 1994, we implemented a mission statement that simply affirmed that we would provide the best of care for those we serve. Although we have held fast to that mission, the Gold Seal says to our customers and team members that we do what we say. That’s Fidelity!

Hunger Under COVID-19

“The demand is unprecedented and unlike any challenge we’ve faced in food bank history in the United States. We’ve really never seen the level of need that we’re seeing now and having seen it come about so quickly, it’s been a real shock.” Katie Fitzgerard, COO, Feeding America

“The folks we’re seeing now are new people. A little less than half of the people who came during the month of June were brand new people.” – Chistopher Robertson, Director of Market of Hope, Catholic Charities

Kellie Short Receives Certificate of Appreciation for Her COVID-19 Contribution

We were thrilled to receive the very unexpected recognition of Kellie Short for her COVID-19 contribution. Kellie is our Sr. Recruiting Specialist and the General Sales Manager for Fidelity On Call.

Here’s the information that was provided regarding this special recognition:

Kellie Short Certificate of Appreciation - 2

Ms. Kellie Short was nominated for a Certificate of Appreciation because she recognizes, honors, and complies with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. She provides her managers and supervisors with the tools they need to effectively manage employees and the spouses of those who serve in the Guard and Reserve. She appreciates the values, leadership, and unique skills Service members and their spouses bring to the workforce and will encourage opportunities to hire Guardsmen, Reservists, Veterans and their spouses. She continually recognizes and supports our country’s Service members and their families, in peace, in crises, and in war.

An employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve, or the spouse of a Guard or Reserve member, may nominate individual supervisors and bosses for support provided directly to the nominating Service member and his or her family. The Certificate of Appreciation reflects the efforts made by individual employers and first line supervisors to support citizen warriors and their spouses through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence to spouses, if needed.

The spouse of a Reservist or Guardsman may also nominate their boss for the Certificate of Appreciation. Though not required by law, many employers voluntarily assist Guard and Reserve spouses, who often share the challenges of military service. Some of the challenges facing the spouses of Service Members include increase in childcare services needed, managing the household, and managing work schedules which often have to be adjusted when one spouse leaves home to serve our country.

Very deserved, Kellie, thank you for making it happen!

Pat Drake  advocates for women business owners through the National Association of Women Business Owners Central Illinois Chapter. She’s been a member since 1992 and has served as the Chapter’s President on two occasions.

On June 17, 2020, outgoing Chapter President Vickie Clark awarded Pat the Lifetime Achievement Award, who said,

She has held I believe every leadership position on our Board. She is outspoken, driven, strong…and yet has a heart of gold, a passion for helping others and for building diversity within our chapter. She understands how valuable NAWBO is and has a way of mentoring by example.

Pat Drake has received several awards from our group before, including Unsung Hero two times, Pioneer twice, and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. Pat Drake is going off our Board this year, but I am comforted to know that doesn’t mean she won’t be involved. Pat is a relentless achiever and will continue to be involved by co-chairing Pathways.”
